am proud to be an Indian. Not only because India holds my head
high when I look at all the achievements, no matter if academical
or sportive, in the last 50 years, but also because there is no
place with so much love for me as home", writes Divya Saxena

Awestruck
kids along with their parents come flying in their
family-spacecraft to see this huge glass globe. The object of
attraction is however not the globe itself but the view of its
inside: a fairly big tree with full-grown branches and green
leaves. This futuristic and depressing vision of some artist seems
more and more realistic day by day.

On
8th August 1942 on its annual conference in Mumbai the Indian
Congress legislated the renowned "The Quit India
Resolution" under the guidance of Mahatma Gandhi. He called
upon the subcontinent with his very last attempt to acquit itself
from the British subjugation: "Freedom or death". (D)

the 26th of January 2001, the anniversary of India's 51st republic
day, tragedy struck the Indian state of Gujarat when a devastating
earthquake brought untold misery and destruction to the people in
that region. The Dutch-Indian Community founded a unique project
